Coweta Samaritan Clinic (CSC) is the result of Dr. Kay Crosby's calling and vision to create a medical home for uninsured and medically underserved adults in Coweta County...Read More

After twenty years practicing internal medicine, Kay left her private practice in 2008 to bring a free clinic to her hometown of Newnan. Generous support from the Coweta County Hospital Authority (building lease), Newnan Hospital Foundation (annual operating funds), and Piedmont Newnan Hospital (free lab and basic radiology services) provided a solid foundation on which to build. Community support for the clinic has been tremendous. With the exception of three FTEs, all medical care and office support is provided by volunteers. The clinic's annual cash operating expenses of $400,000 are provided nearly entirely by private donations from CSC Board members, other individuals, churches, corporations, foundations, civic groups and several annual events.
